 about me

From piano to singing and vice versa.

I started to take piano lessons when I was 6 years old. By then, I already had played melodies by ear more than a year at the piano. I took piano lessons for the following ten years. Meanwhile I was singing at home as well as a chorus-singer and as a choir-singer.  Later on, parallel to the studies at Lund University of Technology, I joined the Oratorio Choir at Lund Dome church as a 1st alto. Occasionally, I also served as soloist for private performances. However, to sing Songs one also needs to practise them - at the piano. My years playing the piano were thus a great advantage to me.    To my CV.

Having a singing voice I also had a desire to develop it. In my spare time I started to take singing lessons. My compass, Alt/Mezzo, is between a low f  and a high a. Of course I am able to sing at first sight!

Although I also have been singing as extra chorus-singer in some operas at the Mecklemburgische Staatstheater, Schwerin, I do not want to remain a chorus-singer. I want to develop my solo talent and establish myself also as solo singer. Therefore, I have since autumn 2008, been practising song technique and solo singing as well, according to the principles of Vaccaj. I have also pursued self-tuition after the instructions from the deceased Opera-singer and teacher, Margareta Högfors - my mother in law. At the same time I have also built up a repertoire.

I sing in Italian, German, English, French, Latin, Schwedish, Danish, Norwegian, and Finnish.

To my Repertoire.

To sum up: Certainly I am able to sing at first sight. I sing - without microphone - with or without accompaniment.      Back to Home Page.
